Kaze Sushi & Hibachi Information

Tucked into a quiet corner at Kaze Sushi & Hibachi, Kaze Sushi & Hibachi feels like one of those neighborhood spots that locals quietly keep to themselves. The location is convenient if you’re anywhere near Mesquite, with easy parking and a relaxed, low-key exterior that doesn’t try too hard to impress-but once you step inside, the experience starts to unfold in a much more interesting way.

The menu leans heavily into variety, which is always a good sign for a sushi and hibachi place. On one visit, the sushi rolls stood out for their freshness more than anything flashy. The fish tasted clean and well-prepared, not overly sauced or masked, which usually means they’re confident in their ingredients. The specialty rolls have that familiar mix of creativity and indulgence-think crunchy textures paired with creamy sauces-but they don’t go overboard. The hibachi side of the menu delivers what you’d expect: generous portions, well-seasoned proteins, and that comforting combination of rice, vegetables, and grilled meats cooked right in front of you if you opt for the full experience.

What really makes the place click is the atmosphere. It’s casual without feeling dull, and there’s a steady hum of conversation that gives it energy without being overwhelming. The hibachi tables bring a bit of performance into the mix, especially if you’re dining with a group, while the regular seating area is quieter and better suited for a laid-back dinner. It’s the kind of place where families, date nights, and casual meetups all seem to coexist naturally.

Service, based on multiple reviews and personal impressions, tends to be friendly and attentive without hovering. Orders come out at a reasonable pace, even during busier evenings, and staff seem willing to answer questions about the menu, which is helpful if you’re navigating between sushi options and hot entrées. There’s a sense that they’re used to regulars but still make an effort with first-time guests.

Pricing lands in that comfortable middle range where you feel like you’re getting solid value for what you pay. Portions are generous enough that you’re not leaving hungry, and the quality generally matches expectations for a casual sushi and hibachi restaurant in the area. While it may not compete with high-end sushi bars in bigger cities, it doesn’t try to-and that’s part of its charm.

What People's Say About Place

Came with a friend for lunch and we were seated immediately. Our server was attentive and provided great customer service! We were brought the clear soup and salad w/dressing and I enjoyed both - the soup was piping hot and the dressing was delicious on the salad! We ordered sushi - Philadelphia Roll and Geisha Roll. I thoroughly enjoyed the Geisha Roll and would definitely recommend it! I settled on the shrimp hibachi and that came with the veggies and fried rice. The shrimp was cooked nicely and I enjoyed the rice as it wasn’t overly coated with soy sauce. My only complaint was the veggie was pretty much charred - and the veggies are my favorite part! Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would recommend the spot but less char on the veggies!

Our go to place for Sushi in Mesquite... Lobster Dynamite Roll is my #1 Favorite...it is so delicious...sweet, crunchy, savory Clear soup with mushroom and scalliions, tempura vegetables.. spicy tuna rolls, siracha mayo ...just a few of our favorites. Service is spotty at times, but today it was Spot On! Ashley H. Listened. Best Waitress!!! Got our orders perfect and gave Excellent customer service! Kudos Ashley...they need you in the evenings.

Kaze Sushi was a great experience as we had the private back room with 4 chefs to cater to our friend group. While the prep time was quite long the food tasted good and everyone had a great time with the chef interactions with food. The portions were also great and everyone was full. In addition, they had karaoke going for the whole party and was a wonderful experience. I’d recommend for big parties to rent their back room and have some great entertainment while you eat

The food was great and the atmosphere was just perfect. Sure the food might take a little while to get to you but it is worth it. The chefs are really entertaining and fun. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat at and I will definitely be going back.

An absolute gem! The atmosphere as you walk in is amazing and exciting. My server was incredibly attentive and friendly. I had the opportunity to enjoy some delicious gyozas. They were soft and tender, and a house soup was served alongside them. I preferred the Korean beef plate as my dinner. This plate did not disappoint!! Highly recommend for a nice couple dinner date.

The food was very good. The cook was awesome. The host was a bit unfriendly. Everything else was awesome
